Welcome to The Mount! We hope you join us at a weekend service and consider making us your church family.
Coming to a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I go? Where do my kids go? Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have other questions we didn’t cover below, feel free to contact us directly at 804-526-0816 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What Time Are Sunday Services?
We offer two different services each Sunday morning. At both services, you’ll find a warm greeting and a friendly atmosphere, and the same great message from our pastor.
This service meets at 9:30 a.m. and is led by the Mount Pleasant Choir, Piano/Organ, and Praise Team, this service combines favorite hymns from our past as well as some classic chorus’ we all know and love.
This service meets at 11:00 a.m. Casual in nature, this service features a modern praise band and innovative multimedia.
Are There Any Wednesday Night Activities?
This group meets weekly in the Chapel (the first room on your right when you enter through the carport door). A weekly prayer group meets year-round from 6-6:30, followed by a “digging deeper” Bible Study that complements the weekly sermon and is led by our Lead Pastor (and occasional special guest).
When: Wednesday nights 6:30-7:30
Church-wide family meal every Wednesday night (during school) from 5:30-6:15.
Student led worship service for Grades 7–12 with teaching by our Student Pastor. Light dinner provided.
When: Wednesday nights 6:30-7:30 (during the year).
SlamJam and Awana are our mid-week small group ministry program for kids who are age 2-grade 6. Children gather together to enjoy dinner, worship, games, Bible lessons, verse memorization, missions’ opportunities and more!
When: Wednesday nights 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. through the school year
What Should I Wear?
You will see everything from suits and sport coats, to slacks and collared shirts, to jeans and sandals. Whatever is comfortable is the rule. Come as you are…
Where do I bring the kids?
We love children here and are excited to partner with parents in building a strong spiritual foundation in the lives of your kids. When you enter through any one of our three main doors, look for the gray directory on the walls and follow the arrows to the Welcome Center. We will take it from there.
Where do I go?
When you enter through any one of our three main doors, look for the gray directory on the walls and follow the arrows to the Welcome Center. We can then help you get wherever you need to go.
Can I have someone pray with me?
Without a doubt! We would love to pray WITH you and FOR you. Any Pastor or Welcome Center worker will be glad to serve.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
As a guest we do not expect you to tithe. We are very appreciative that you would take the time to come and join us.
I am deaf, do you offer ASL interpreter?
We have sign language during our 11:00 service. Follow the signs to the Worship Center and proceed to the front left of the sanctuary.
