Pastor Garrett, our Children’s Pastor, has felt God’s call to enter a new season of ministry as the Executive Director of Blue Ridge Harbor Ministries.
While we are grieved to see him go, we are proudly a sending church that delights to discover what the Lord is doing. To learn more about this ministry, and support the Oppels as they step out in faith, join us for a Vision Meeting on June 25, July 22 or August 16. Click below for more details and to RSVP.
Starting August 16, join us on Sunday afternoons for a grief support group right here at Mount Pleasant.
A GriefShare group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. At this 13-week group, you’ll receive valuable guidance and tips, leading you to relief, comfort, and peace of mind. Learn more and register below:
Rising Kindergarteners through completed 5th Graders are invited to join us for Kids’ Night Out!
This will be Pastor Garrett's final MPBC Kids event before beginning his new role with Blue Ridge Harbor Ministries. We'd love for your child to join us as we make one more great memory!
August 30 is a special Sunday.
In the morning, we will commission the Oppels to their new season at Blue Ridge Harbor Ministries (click here to register for the Vision Meeting on August 16!).
In the evening, we will meet at the farm of James & June Meadows at 4 PM for a church-wide picnic (food will be served at 5 PM). Chicken will be provided; families with last names starting A-L can bring desserts, while M-Z can bring side dishes.
Reach out here if you need the address. Lawn games, folding chairs, and picnic blankets are welcome, along with any guests that are on your heart to invite.
Our next mission trip will be to Gallup, New Mexico to encourage Rob & Michele McIntosh. Both men and women are invited to take part in this trip to the Navajo Nation!
Service opportunities may include preparing firewood, completing various repairs, and leading women’s fellowship and crafts. We are also collecting donations for Christmas meals for the McIntoshes to deliver at a later time ($75 to feed one family - donate here, select “other,” and specify “MPBC Creator’s Fellowship, Gallup NM”).
For more information, contact Alan Kirks and stay tuned for the upcoming Interest Meeting.
We have a few spots remaining for our trip to Staunton Virginia on November 6-7! The cost is $400/single occupancy and $300/person for double occupancy.
The cost includes a tour of Woodrow Wilson’s library and museum, a scenic train ride on the Alleghany special dining car, and more! This trip is open to the entire church - RSVP here.
